Real-time Twitter Monitoring Made Easy

Jan 28th, 2010 | By | Category: Technology

If you are looking for a convenient tool to monitor trending topics or highly-active Twitterers, then go no further than Monitter (www.monitter.com). The software is easy to use, extremely fast and looks very much like Tweetdeck. Simply type your keyword into the three boxes (i.e. #ipad or #gloriabell) that run across the page and you’ll instantly start monitoring what’s being said about or by those subjects.

The software allows you to tweet or retweet a posting, subscribe to an RSS feed on any topic you select, and click on an avatar to learn more the person making a post. It also contains a feature that enables you to add more search columns.

The only downsides to the software are an occasional ad embedded between posts and the absence of posting dates. Just keep in mind that Monitter allows to track posts but not generate them.
