All Your Posts in One Nutshell

We’re normally skeptical whenever an online property promises to make social media monitoring easier. However, we were recently impressed by a new Constant Constant product that neatly batches your various feeds and mails the segmented results to you  at scheduled interviews.

Nutshell Mail

With the free Nutshell Mail, you can chose settings that tell the software to pull posts from your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Myspace, Yelp, Foursquare and City Search accounts. You can also specify what days and times you want the software to send you reports. You can choose a single hour on a single day, every hour of everyday, or some other configuration that best fits your needs.

The reports are the product’s best feature. At the top of the page, the report shows your Twitter avatar, and your number of followers, followings and updates. It also shows your total number of new items that have appeared in each of your designated social media properties since your last report.

For the Twitter segment, the document shows your status, newest followers, latest quitters, latest replies, updates from folks on your Twitter lists, and posts from lists you follow.

For Facebook fan pages, it shows your status, page likes and follower of numbers.

For personal Facebook pages, Nutshell shows total new messages, new pokes, friend requests, group and event invites, plus content from your Facebook wall.

The LinkedIn segment shows groups posts by people who have received recommendations, updated their profiles, participated in groups, made new connects, updated applications and changed their status update.

Overall, the product is clean, easy to read, easy to set up and convenient. The only down side – if you are a heavy user of Tweetdeck, Hootsuite or other Twitter management, platform, Nutshell mail becomes superfluous.
